ABIE Germany regularly organises and hosts events for its members.
These include breakfast, daytime and evening events. Regular lunches
are held in Frankfurt and Munich often at Australian Consulate, with a
guest speaker who may be a visiting Australian, a prominent European or
an international figure from the field of commerce, industry, politics,
diplomacy and occasionally, sport or entertainment. In other European
and Australian State capitals where ABIE is established, similar
lunches are held on a regular basis.
In all countries, regular evening functions are
held to provide for those who have difficulty attending daytime events.
These evening events are more informal and provide an opportunity for
members to focus on particular business areas of mutual interest or
simply extend business contacts. Please find information on upcoming
and past events below.

Bearing in mind the day and time of the match (and the
fact that it should not be missed), ABIE Germany has organized two alternative

different member needs. All you
need to decide is whether you would prefer a drink at the pub, or a
sausage
with the kids (and adults).

an.
Termin: Donnerstag, 10. Juni 2010 von 14 bis 16 Uhr

ABIE AGM 2010 & TAX PLANNING SEMINAR |
|
|
|
|
Tuesday, 23 March 2010 11:36 |
|
The Board of ABIE Germany is pleased to invite you to the next ABIE event namely a tax planning seminar to be followed by the AGM to be held on Tuesday, 23 March 2010 at the ADINA hotel, Wilhelm-Leuschner-Strasse 6, 60329 Frankfurt a.M.
The AGM will cover matters relevant to the past year including the Chairman's Report, the Financial Report, the election of Board members and the future strategy.
If you have some ideas that you would like to discuss at the AGM, would like to participate more directly in ABIE, or would like to stand for election to the ABIE Board, please let us know in advance in writing.
The AGM is scheduled to commence between 8 - 8:30 pm, depending upon when the tax seminar concludes.
The purpose of the tax seminar event is to provide useful tax information to Australian expatriates residing here in Germany and also to Germans having assets in Australia. Many ABIE members have, or will have, assets in both countries. Special rules apply to the taxation of property and other assets situated outside of Germany. Inheritance is another issue that would be of direct interest to ABIE members. The seminar will be given by the leading firm Erkens Gerow Schmitz Zeiss. The seminar held last year in Düsseldorf was highly rated by ABIE members and guests.
ABIE members and guests are invited to submit questions in advance. This will allow sufficient time for answers to be prepared. The seminar will commence at 6 pm and have duration of approximately 60 - 75 minutes, followed by questions. Complimentary drinks and finger food will be served.
If you would like to attend on the 23 March 2010, please email
