On 28 February 2012 a select group of participants was treated to a fine dining experience at the Feinkost Käfer in Munich while hearing presentations regarding Australia's Clean Energy Future plan and the Australian Government's new initiatives, programs, agencies and opportunities for German companies to participate in the growing sectors of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

The event was organised by Austrade's Stefan Augustin and the presentations were given by James Hetherington, Manager, ARENA Implementation Team, ARENA Establishment Branch, Clean Energy Division from the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism and Russell Baker, Trade & Investment Adviser, Australian Operations.

Representatives from Sachsen Fonds, Fraunhofer Institut, Schott Solar AG, Enercon GmbH, DegerEnergie GmbH and Flagsol GmbH participated and were keen to gain insights into Australia's clean energy future.
